is a warning about the consequences of trusting deteriorating authority. Constructed from fractured and weathered wooden forms that remain improbably upright, the sculpture addresses society’s willingness to continue following leaders, institutions, and inherited systems even when their failures are plainly visible. Rather than focusing solely on structural weakness, the work emphasizes the danger posed when the very foundations meant to provide direction and stability are themselves breaking apart. The sculpture captures the uneasy moment before collapse, questioning the value of obedience to authority whose legitimacy and integrity have already begun to erode.
