Stuffandfluff

Stuffandfluff

Visual art curiosity, with wearable jewellery brooch

Gold plated Silver, Textile Fibre, Paperclips, Pins, Fabric, Vintage Tin

In a useful tin, amidst paperclips and pins, sits an enigmatic creature, that appears to be formed of fluff and stationery split pins.

With 9ct gold plated sterling silver legs, eyes and brooch clasp.

Display as an object d'art, plus Stuffandfluff can also be removed to be worn as a brooch, then re-homed into the tin when the outing ends.

Mia has formed the body of the brooch pin with traditional silversmithing techniques, plus textile felting. The pin-cushion seat has been hand sewn from vintage offcut fabric.

Mia enjoys discovering items in flea markets and second hand stores for trinkets to support and inspire her designs, and bring an element of history to the pieces. This whimsical piece includes a vintage tin discovered on such a treasure hunt, filled with very handy bits & bobs (and stuff & fluff).

Please note that the vintage elements of the piece will contain signs of use over the years, what they lack in perfection, they make up for in character.
