Tina Jane Hatton-Gore

Don't Shoot

A two metre square oil painting on primed cotton. The artist, wearing a Katherine Hamnett T shirt, has drawn around herself lying on the studio floor surrounded by artefacts of nostalgic value. Her fingers are green (for obvious reasons) and the holes in her limbs suggest a puppet-like existence,  precursing "Life is a Circus' Who Pulls Your Strings?" made later in 2023, on arrival at the Royal College of Painting Programme. The painting was shortlisted for the National Portrait Gallery's Herbert Smith Freehills Portrait Award 2024.
