Victor Guerin

Acanthus Ascendant

« Acanthus Ascendant » is a sculptural vase created by Victor Guerin during his residency at the Sir John Soane Museum. Crafted from aluminium anticorodal, it captures and reflects light, a technique the architect mastered. The vase features intricate acanthus leaves, inspired by those found in the museum’s collection, seamlessly enveloping a pyramidal form. This design element draws a parallel to the sarcophagus housed in Soane’s basement, inviting reflection on cultural heritage and its complex legacy.
