Rhiannon Rebecca Salisbury

Heat Passing Through Clay, 2026 Oil on canvas 40 × 30 cm

A small oil painting on canvas built through warm clay-like tones, dense red marks and darker mineral passages. The surface suggests heat moving through earth, with forms appearing like blooms, embers or traces held within the painted ground.

The work reflects Rhiannon Rebecca Salisbury’s interest in painting as a site of pressure, transformation and material memory. Its compact scale gives the image an intimate, charged presence, sitting between landscape, bodily trace and abstract relic.
