Autumn Marsh

Made from a hand-held sketch of the marsh in the valley behind the farmhouse during a residency in Luxembourg, transformed in the studio at the Villa Lena Foundation in Tuscany. Two places, one painting. The electric green of the marsh floor pushes against deep blue skies and purple autumn trees, with an orange flare catching the light from the upper left. Carried through memory and charged into colour.

Previously exhibited at Andrea Festa Fine Art, Rome (2023) and McBride Contemporain, Montreal (2025).
