“The Unnoticed House” brings together four paintings of Goðafoss in Iceland. The paintings were made after a snowstorm from different viewpoints, where ice fragments, exposed earth, and small traces of change appeared. These contrasting views reveal how the landscape shifts at different scales and in different moments.

The perspex piece extends this idea by holding multiple observations within a single block. Each painted “opening” offers a slightly altered state of the same place, variations in light, colour, or temperature, suggesting the way time accumulates in layers rather than single events. Looking through them requires attention, as the impressions overlap and slow the viewer’s reading of the scene.

The house included in the landscape is painted so quietly that it disappears from a distance, becoming visible only through close, patient looking. This understated presence reflects how human structures exist within broader natural rhythms. Across the works, the process centres on careful observation and on making that reveals truth gradually, through shifts that are often easy to miss.
