After The Hay Wain (1821)

After The Hay Wain (1821)

Made using a studio easel to direct the movement of fluid paint, this work draws on colour palettes taken from John Constable's landscape paintings. Rather than recreating the landscape, it reinterprets the material language of Constable through a process shaped by gravity, paint, and the intervention of the easel.
